The Kronheim Family has been in the U.S. since the mid-1800s.

Moses ("Morris") Kronheim and his wife, Pauline Baum, the parents of Simon Kronheim, arrived in New York on August 15, 1857 and settled in Brooklyn where Morris opened a furrier business.

Morris was born in Winterberg, Germany on August 30, 1827.
