Israel immigrated to the U.S. in 1900 when he was 21 years old and settled in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

Two Marriages

Israel Freedman was married twice.

In 1902, he married Pearl Bloomenstein. They had five children.

Shortly after Pearl's, death in 1917, at the age of 32, Israel married Pearl's sister, Gussie Bloomenstein Levinson, the mother of seven children.

Gussie's husband, Louis Levinson, had died several years earlier. Israel and Gussie did not have any children together.

Occupation

Israel Freedman was a baker and was the owner of Freedman's Bakery in Vineland, New Jersey. When he first moved to Vineland, New Jersey, he was a farmer.

Death

Israel Freedman died in a car accident on February 9, 1930 in Vineland, NJ at the age of 48.
