Lillian Freedman Spiegel was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on September 19, 1912.

She moved from Philadelphia to Vineland, New Jersey with her family between 1913 and 1916.

Lillian worked in a liquor store which was owned by her son, Sandy. Earlier in her career, she had worked in retail at Arking's Linen Center.

Lillian Freedman Spiegel passed away on April 13, 2009 in Galloway Township, New Jersey at the age of 96.
